Where do the facts come from?
Fact Files hand them over for Octopuses, The Moon and Penguins. For My Own Topic, your writer picks something they already know a lot about.
Does my child ever write without starters?
Yes. Topic 3 has no starters, and the last essay, On My Own, is written on blank paragraph pages with only a short checklist of what each paragraph needs.
Do we need Four Steps to an Essay first?
No. It helps, but every add-on works on its own. The grown-up guide and the You Already Know How page explain the five cards.
My child has dysgraphia. Will the writing be too much?
Each sentence is a printed starter plus a short ending, two lines at most. You may scribe any sentence, and nothing is ever recopied.
Can I use this at home and in a classroom?
